URL Tracking

A URL “Query String” is a piece of code that can be optionally placed at the end of a website URL that contains information about where the visitor came from.

The setup of query strings involves custom writing a database of thousands of lines of Query String code & matching them to the correct URL’s. There is no room for error in this task, as the slightest misspelling in the code can prevent the entire system from working correctly.

To gain that valuable insight, we can install the Google Analytics system (if not already in place) onto your website & setup the reports & goals custom based on your goals.

Adwords/adCenter Conversion Tracking Installation

The core tracking method for Google Adwords is their in-house Conversion Tracking scripts. Essentially, you place the script on the page a person will land on directly after taking an action you want to track (e.g. Make a Purchase), and it keeps a tally of the visitors who “converted” to that particular page.

Along with simply “keeping tally”, the Adwords conversion tracking scripts also track the campaign, ad group, keyword, landing Page, Ad Copy, Time, Date & Geography of the conversion. We use this data to maximize how your money is invested in future traffic buys.

If this system is not already setup in your account, you can opt to have us correctly setup & install the conversion tracking scripts. We will look at all possible conversion goals (i.e. download whitepaper, fill out a form, watch a particular video, etc.), and setup unique tracking for each of them, so we can properly asses the value of a click (some keywords drive people to take “baby steps” towards a sale; you must place value on those keywords in order to accurately run a PPC campaign.
